Gale Dailey  Powell
Gale Dailey Powell entered her heavenly home, Tuesday, October 31, 2017. She was a member of Lee’s Chapel Baptist Church and retired from Viskase, in Loudon, TN. Gale was a loving and devoted mother, wife, grandmother, sister and friend. She was always ready to care for others; whether it be caring for the sick, Coats for the Cold, or taking plates of food to others. She was always willing to help. Gale was preceded in death by her husband, Carl “Hugo” Dailey; parents, Marvin and Dorothy Leslie; infant brother, Billy S. Leslie; and son-law, Mike Mason. She is survived by spouse, Edward Powell; daughters, Lesa and Glen Shultz and Crystal Mason, all of Sweetwater; stepchildren, Rick and Lin Harris, Hope McZachern and Logan Powell; sister, Pat and Jack Hughes; brother, Keith and Ruby Leslie; grandchildren and spouses, Stephanie and Joe Warren, Steven and Bridgitte Shultz, Sam and Ashley Mason, Jordan Mason, Abby Mason and fiancé’ Michael Engelhart, Tiffany and Brandon Sauls, Dakota Harris and Dylan Harris; great grandchildren, William Nichols, Blayne Mason, Leia Shultz and Paisley Sauls; special friends, Nancy Martin and Cyndy Meyers. Funeral service will be 7pm Thursday, at Loudon Funeral Home, with Rev. Dennis Hicks officiating. Family and friends will meet at East Sweetwater Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery 1 pm Friday for graveside service. The family will receive friends Thursday, 5pm - 7pm, prior to the service.
