Obituary for Essie J. Dunkin

Essie J.   Dunkin
Essie June Dunkin, 89 of Philadelphia, passed away at Kindred Nursing Home on November 10, 2017. She was a loving mother and caregiver of many. She worked at Charles H. Bacon hosiery mill most of her life and retired from Monterey Mushroom. Preceded in death by parents, John and Cora Bradshaw; husband, James Dunkin; children, James Edward Dunkin, Donald Wayne Dunkin, Deborah Sue Dunkin; and brother, John William Bradshaw. She leaves to cherish her memories, sisters, Ruth Jenkins, Wayland, Michigan, Elizabeth Jenkins, Loudon, Jessie Wicker, Norcross, GA; loving children, Buddy and June Green, Ringgold, GA, Mike and Wanda Packett, Lenoir City, Peggy Kagley, Loudon, John David Dunkin, Philadelphia, and Chris and Laura Dunkin, Madisonville; grandchildren, Mark and Laura Knox, Tunnel Hill, GA, Karen Justice, Tellico Plains, Daniel Mullins, Philadelphia, Joe Dunkin, Ben Kagley, Jessica and Andrew Poulsen and Miranda Dunkin; and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A special Thank You to Elizabeth Jenkins for being such a devoted sister and to the staff of Kindred Nursing Home and Avalon Hospice Care for going above and beyond their compassionate giving. Family and friends will meet at 3pm Sunday, at Reed Springs Cemetery for graveside service, with Chaplain Nathan Prince officiating.
