William Dale Thompson, 55, of Athens, departed this life January 12, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Thompson; grandparents, Willie and Dora Thompson and Luke and Sid Nix. Survived by his mother and stepfather, Della (Nix) and Kyle Jones, of Illinois; sister, Dora and Mark Kintzle, of Colorado; brother, Dennis Thompson, of Florida; nephew, Jeffrey Thompson; niece, Preslea Kintzle; great nephew, Jace Kintzle; uncles, Rocky, Chic, David, Sam and Donnie Thompson; aunts, Margie Young, Bernice Parks, Wanda Eller, Joyce Colvard and Mary Shell; and many cousins. Funeral service will be 7pm Thursday, at Loudon Funeral Home, with Rev. David Thompson officiating. Family and friends will meet 11am Friday, at Corinth Cemetery for the graveside service.
