Obituary for Ross L. Greenwood

Ross L. Greenwood
Ross L. Greenwood, 65, of Philadelphia, TN, entered into eternal peace with the Lord on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at home, in the early morning hours.
Ross’ story begins on January 18, 1953, in Quincy, MA. Ross was the son of Wilfrid and Muriel Greenwood. After finding the love of his life, Linda, they made their home in Tennessee. Ross was always the big man in overalls, striking up a conversation with everyone he met. He enjoyed making those around him smile and offering a wise word of encouragement when needed. Some would call him a big teddy bear. He was a unique man who loved his family and friends and enjoyed making memories.
A chapter of his story ended when Ross’ mother and father, Muriel and Wilfrid Greenwood, of York, ME passed away. Ross was married to his devoted and beloved wife, Linda Greenwood, for 32 years. In addition to their journey, Ross also leaves his fond memories to his daughter and son-in-law, Moriah and Jonathan Linton, of Cleveland, TN; son Caleb Greenwood, of Oak Ridge, TN; brothers Mark Greenwood, of Lee, NH, Dr. Kent Greenwood, of Lunenburg, MA; sister Dr. Donna Greenwood, of Scarborough, ME; and finally his absolute joy of a granddaughter Kristen Linton.
To close the book of Ross’ life, his family invites all friends for visitation on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, at My Father’s House, 201 North A Street, Lenoir City, TN 37771. A memorial and celebration service will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Loudon Funeral Home P.O. Box 242 Loudon, TN 37774.
The Greenwood family would like to thank you for all the prayers, emotional support and helping hands that have been extended to them as they celebrate the life of a man with a story that will continue to be recalled for years to come. Loudon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. www.loudonfuneralhome.net
