Sgt. (retired) Thomas G. Moore, 81 of Loudon, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017. He was a deacon at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church and a Master Mason with CC Russell Masonic Lodge #222 F&AM. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard, Army National Guard and the United States Army. He was a retired employee of X-10 plant, ORNL. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Doris K. Moore; daughter, Judy (Brandon) Bomar; and son, Thomas Moore; two grand children; special nieces and nephews, Brenda Vyphuis, Renee K. Thomas, Patricia Swafford, Jim Moore and Ed Moore; special cousins, Polly Smith, David Smith and Clifford (Cowboy) Smith; and a host of other relatives, extended family and friends. Masonic service conducted by the CC Russell lodge #222 F& AM at 1:45pm Saturday, at Loudon Funeral Home with Funeral service following at 2pm; Elder Bobby Fields officiating. Interment following at Loudon Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided by the Loudon County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends 12pm - 1:45 pm Saturday, at the funeral home.
