Jackie Stamey
Jackie Stamey, age 93, passed away Friday May 4, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was a lifelong resident of this area. Jackie was a wonderful seamstress, and she loved gardening and cooking. Mrs. Stamey is preceded in death by her loving husband; Cecil Stamey, by her parents; George and Velma Gray, by brothers; Austin, George, and John Gray, by sisters; Verna Brooks, and Mary Brown, by a daughter-in-law; Carol Stamey, by son-in-laws; Larry Hitson and Mike Langley. She is survived by two daughters; Gloria Langley and Sharon Carrouth, by a son; Tony Stamey (Marcia), by a granddaughter; Amanda Watts (James), by a great-granddaughter Kadance Watts, by a brother; Sam Gray, by sisters; Polly Moree, Gena Pruett, and Peggy Simmons. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lakewood Place Assisted Living and Caris Hospice for their loving care of our mother. The family will receive friends 1pm-2:30pm Sunday May 6, 2018 at Loudon Funeral Home. The service will follow at 2:30pm with Raymond Stamey officiating. Graveside services will follow at Loudon County Memorial Gardens. Loudon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
